What is Executive Coaching?

Executive Coaching, sometimes referred to as Performance Coaching, is an inquiry-based approach to supporting an organization's employees improve performance, develop specific competencies or successfully transition into a new role.  Through a variety of tools and techniques, the coach helps the client (typically a newly hired or promoted employee) develop the skills, goals and strategies that will facilitate the desired growth or achievement indicators established by the organization.

I Specialize in executive coaching for:

  • New Leaders, Managers & Supervisors

  • University Admissions Counselors

  • Student Affairs Professionals

My approach utilizes self-assessments, 360 feedback, job shadowing and structured conversations (involving strategic goal-setting, brainstorming action steps, identifying barriers, clarifying best-practices and committing to a course of action).

Training & Team Development

While coaching can be leveraged to support the training and on-boarding of new staff or the continued development of seasoned employees, it is distinct from other structured training initiatives and team-building experiences.  In addition to coaching, I offer unique training and team development experiences for organizations designed to: boost organizational effectiveness, revitalize team dynamics, enhance workplace culture and improve employee well-being.

“I hired David, in a time crunch, to train and prepare four new staff members to recruit for Bowling Green State University. This six-week intensive training happened on the road, across the state of Ohio. David listened and provided guidance to the new staff and checked in with me weekly to provide progress updates. Their weeks together provided a foundation for their job success. I can see today the positive impact David played in their transition to our office.”
